iPhone repair, and particularly iPhone glass replacement, is a highly popular service that many people use. This reflects in a large way the magnitude of the popularity of the iPhone, and just how pleased most people are to have them. It literally is a craze that has swept the globe and not since the Nokia 3210 has a phone likely been as popular. They have literally opened up a new way of doing things and many people have instantly become dependent on having apps and 3g connection in much the same way they once became dependent on the mobile phone. This all means that when one breaks, people want iPhone repair as quickly as possible. But what is it that has made them so popular, and how is it that the iPhone has become such a cornerstone of modern life?
The first thing that makes the iPhone so useful is the aforementioned 3g. Any iPhone 3g or iPhone 2g will have constant access to the internet and as such will be able to receive e-mails on the go and allow users to look up anything from the answers to pub quizzes, to the television times - all the kinds of things you might need access to on the go.
The other thing that makes the iPhone so incredibly useful is that it has GPS. What this means is that it uses satellites in order to pinpoint your exact location at any time. With Google Maps built in to the iPhone this then means that you can check your location at any time, and can see what's around you. If you need to get to a friend's house but don't know where they live, simply type in their address and postcode and it will plot a route there for you in moments.
The iPhone also has built in a music player and a camera. These are two examples of what is called 'convergence' that referring to the fact that single devices are now capable of doing more and more while getting smaller and smaller which reduces the need to carry around lots of different gadgets with you at any one time. This means that you can carry one item instead of five, and be always ready to take a photo, or to listen to a tune if you want to go running.
Where the iPhone comes in most useful however is where these abilities have all been brought together on the iTunes store as 'apps'. The iPhone was the definitive trailblazer that introduced apps and they literally have changed the way we live our lives. Thanks to the 3g internet connection it is now possible to connect to the internet anywhere and download an app in minutes. This then means you can have access to such abilities as being able to look up all of the restaurants within walking distance, and the ability to then plot a route to get to them. Alternatively why not download an application that lets you use the iPhone's internal memory as a storage device negating the need for a flash memory pen or portable hard drive.
